Monty Khwaja, a former internationally acclaimed competitive rower, introduced rowing to the UAE in 1999.  Since then, the business has grown to 3 locations; Dubai Creek, The Palm and Dubai Marina.

​Well known within the global rowing community, Monty Khwaja, the club's founder, has an impressive biography as a professional rower.  He started training at the prestigious Karachi rowing club as a young boy where he developed a life-long passion for rowing.  Globally successful, his achievements include: national champion from 1987 -1990, two times Asian games medalist and Berlin Regatta Bronze.  He has successfully competed in regattas all over Europe including Henley Regatta England, Paolo De-Algo Italy, Bremen Germany, Duisburg Germany, Austria, Holland and Belgium.
